Happy Monday!

Happy Monday Everyone. I hope ya'll had a wonderful weekend full of love, laughter & happiness <3

Weekend Recap:
Sorry, I've been MIA since Friday guys. I've decided because I never have too much happening on Saturday while the hubs works all day and Sunday is his only day off, I probably won't be posting any posts throughout the weekend.

Saturday was uneventful throughout the day. Woke up, had the usual smoothie for breakfast, knocked out 12 miles which felt glorious, and then just laid around until the hubs got home around 6. We ended up ordering Little Caesars Pizza. I had the thin crust pizza with no sauce, a little cheese, tomatoes (which there weren't many on there :[ ), peppers and onions. I had 2 slices, and they were absolutely delicious. After letting our bellies rest a little, we spent the evening playing "Drinking Yahtzee" and watching Season 1 of Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Oh and some chips, okay maybe a couple servings worth were enjoyed as well :).

Sunday I woke up around 6, layed around and then made the hubby some dippy eggs with toast while I enjoyed the usual Blueberry Smoothie. Since Ramadan is going on for the next month, things are going to be rather layed back and consist of just watching movies & cuddling all day. Most places aren't open, and if you do decide to go out your not allowed to eat, or drink anything. There was actually already an American who got sentenced to jail for the month because he was caught drinking water outside. We did end up going to the grocery store to pick up some food for this weeks meals, and the usual produce as well. All in all it was a wonderful day spent with my amazing husband.

Now moving onto today....

Breakfast- 8A.M.

Guys, everything about breakfast today was amazing! I toasted 2 whole wheat waffles, spread jam on one, and then topped the other with 1/3 c. cooked egg whites. It was delicious, and actually kept me full up until lunch. Is it just me, or whenever you cut a sandwich up into tiny pieces you feel like your getting more outta the sandwich? haha.

Workout
Since Ramadan started on Friday, the gym doesn't open until 11. It's been a little hard to adjust. Usually it'd open @ 9 and I'd be done by 10:30 at the latest. Since the change my eating schedule has been off. I've always been one to eat lunch around 11:30-12:00, so now that I end up getting home around 12:30 most days, I haven't been sitting down to eat until 1:00. That may not sound late to some of you, but whenever your body is used to one time.. it doesn't like not being fed @ that time anymore, haha.
Okay, back to the workout. I covered 5.4 miles in 40 minutes, followed by a quick circuit @ the end. The circuit was short & sweet: 10 squats, 10 sit ups, 9 squats, 9 sit ups.. down to 1 rep. I wish I remembered whose page I saw this idea on because I want to give them full credit for it, and let them know I loved it! (If it's you, let me know :) ).

Lunch- 1:00 P.M.
Another Pumpkin Smoothie. I tell ya, this smoothie just never disappoints. I was planning on having some left over pizza, but couldn't resist this temptation :).

**Quick question before I head out to do some cleaning, blah... Have you ever got a tingly feeling throughout your leg while you were running? I had it for the beginning of my run today, and just have no idea why. I've never had this feeling before. I for a second contemplated on stopping but thankfully it went away... Hmm?

    1. During the day it's extremely quiet. I hear it's crazy @ night, especially @ restaurants. The husband and I choose to stay in during that time.

    2. I try not too get out to much during the day, with an expection of walking to and from the gym. It's just so hot out here, and not being able to drink water/eat food, heck even chew gum just makes it absolutely miserable ya know

  2. gosh I don't know much about ramadan but it sounds tough. Your pumpkin smoothie looks bomb, I also am dying to try this sweet and savory eggs/jelly thing. Looks like a hit.

  3. I have had that before and have had it continue after. I think it was the way I was running and causing too much pressure on a certain part of my foot.

    1. I'm gonna try loosening my shoelaces today to see if that helps. I know I'm in need of a new pair of shoes, so maybe that's causing something? But hey what do i know, i'm no running doctor lol.

  4. My son's friend that lives across the street comes participates in Ramadan and can't even come out to play until 7pm. My son doesn't really understand, but I tried to explain that it's part of his religion.
    No water even?!

We used to go to Little Caesars all the time when I was young! Now, they're harder to find!

  5. Good call on not blogging on the weekend. Spending time relaxing with the husband is definitely the best way to spend the weekend :)

  6. I'm not too familiar with Ramadan, but it sounds pretty intense! However, I love a reason to stay inside & just hang out!

  7. Ramadan sounds crazy there! I think I would be too nervous to go out with all the rules! Didn't you say you aren't allowed to show any skin either? So....what do you wear on your walk to the gym in that heat now?!?

    1. You can have your hands and face showing. I've been wearing long pants, and a zip up hoodie on my walks there. It usually isn't a bad walk in the heat, but now that I'm wearing pants.. ugh!! I've found myself spending a cab fee to the gym now.

  8. I get it sometimes when I'm on the elliptical, actually. I think it has something to do with circulation - how my shoe fits that days and how I sit that day. Of course, none of these could be related. I'd say if it happens again, maybe talk to a doctor?

    1. Thanks girl. I was kind of thinking maybe my shoelaces were tied to tight. Not sure, but hopefully today it'll be better. I know i'm in need of new shoes too, so maybe that's it? Ha ha who knows. Thanks for your input though :)

  9. I stopped blogging (and mostly even reading blogs) on the weekend and I found it a great way to find more balance. Is the tingly feeling you mentioned also a little itchy? It makes me think of lactic acid, but not sure from your description. If so, it will go away when your body adjust to the activity.

    1. No, not itchy. It's hard to explain. You know when you a piece of your hair is on your arm or something, and it feels weird?? If so, and your still with me.. that's kinda how it felt. Ha Ha, gosh I'm horrible @ describing the feeling.

    1. If it wasn't 125+ degrees out, and I didn't have to have almost everything covered except my head and hands... i'd be all for it, hahaha.

    2. I'm slowly adapting, and finding ways to work around it. So far, so good :)

  13. That stinks you can't even have water!! That must be seriously tough in the heat. Great attitude working around it! How long does it last?
